Public Speaking and Meeting Procedure Workshop

Have you ever been to a meeting and wanted to speak up but didn’t know how? Maybe you had to chair a meeting but weren’t sure of the right words to use.

You can feel competent and confident when you stand up to speak. Learn the basics of parliamentary procedure—the art of conducting meetings efficiently and fairly.

  • How to run a productive meeting
  • Types of motions, when and how to make them
  • The “language” of meetings, terms and definitions

This workshop will give you an introduction to the basics of meeting procedure. You will be able to ask questions and get answers.

Join the Watauga Public Library (7109 Whitley Road) as we host a free Public Speaking and Meeting Procedure workshop on Saturday, April 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This workshop is brought to you by the North Texas Parliamentarians. A unit of the National Association of Parliamentarians.

This event is free and all are welcome! Call 817.514.5865 for more information.
