City of Watauga Senior Center Expansion

The Watauga Senior Center Project is nearing completion of its $2.3 Million expansion.  Construction began in July of 2016 and is expected to be complete by May 10, 2017.  The new Senior Center includes a large multi-use room, kitchen, patio area, storage and a new parking and drop off zone.  The Public Works Department shall be re-striping the entire parking area while the Parks and Recreation Department shall be designing and installing the landscaping.  In the coming weeks, expect to see the City of Watauga Logo attached to the face of the building, the finish out of the kitchen area, final cleanup, and work on punch list items.  Some punch list items may carry over past May 10th, but the building should be able to be occupied.  The Architectural firm is Barker, Rinker, Seacat Architecture Inc. and the Contractor is Haydon Building Corporation.
