Public Information Office

Responsibilities
The Public Information Office is part of the I.T. Department and is managed by the Chief Information Officer/Public Information Officer (PIO).  The primary responsibilities of the PIO include providing current information to residents about local government services and programs.  This includes video, print and electronic communications.

Services
The PIO produces press releases, reviews City printed newsletters, brochures and other printed and electronic communication and interfaces with the media to provide information regarding current events.  The Department works with all other city departments to coordinate content on the city's web site.  The PIO also serves as the administrator for all City Social Media Feeds including FaceBook, Twitter and YouTube.  The Department manages the City Cable channel and works with departments to produce, film and edit video content.  Residents are encouraged to stay informed with current information from the City by signing up using Notify Me.
